So even though its been 2008 for a few days now, I still don’t consider it really the new year until I’ve written out the date… incidentally it will probably be February sometime before I actually have to write it. I guess thats the side effect of today’s technology-driven world. If I hadn’t taken an accounting class this past semester and had to actually write down notes, I don’t think I’ve written anything on paper of any consequence in years.
So anyway, its finally 2008, 2007 seemed to fly by - I guess that means I’m getting old when whole years pass by much quicker than they seem they should. Pretty soon I’ll just sit on the front porch and yell at the kids to stay off my lawn… darn whippersnappers.
ok so I haven’t posted anything on here for some time… deal with it
I finally gave in and signed up on Facebook. I know, I know, its not as bad as Myspace tho. Anyway, a lot of stuff going on with the house. The fence is up - it looks Awesome! I’ll have to get some pictures up. Brody likes it a lot since we can leave him outside more.
We should be closing on the refinancing Oct. 1 and then we start on choosing the floors. Once we choose the materials and get everything in, expect a call to come help lay the floors
Well, we finally made it down to my Grandfather’s place again this weekend. Its good to go down there and just hang out and try to go fishing. He always seems to do better when one of his grandkids come down - sometimes just seeing people is the best medicine.
This weekend was also Brody’s first trip away from home for more than an afternoon. Of course, like most young’ens he acted like a perfect angel and hardly mis-behaved at all in front of other people. No one will believe us when we say he’s really a little devil. Anyway, we get home and he makes a mess of the house, leaves like six puddles in two hours and tries to pretend it was the cats. Oh well. I guess it really couldn’t last forever. Hopefully he’ll get better and we won’t have to have a bottle of carpet cleaner in every room.
Sunday night when we got back we spent about five hours cleaning the new furniture, cleaning the glass and putting up the china and a few pictures. We will need to paint again, although I love the blue wall, its going to need to go with the new furniture… of course, Jenn doesn’t think bright red is a good replacement either.
